Judi & Jordan Jolley | A Special Mother, Son Team

For Jordan Jolley and his mother Judi, the Special Olympics have become a way to grow closer together.

Jordan has competed for over six years. It started as a way to get Jordan involved in extracurricular activities, but Judi said it quickly evolved to become a part of their lives. She has coached much of that time. Judi said it takes a lot of energy, but she said it’s worth it to watch them accomplish hard things.

“When you think you’re starting to get burnt out, you get new athletes in and it kind of reminds you of why you got involved and what is needed,” said Judi.

Jordan gets emotional talking about his mom’s involvement, and said it makes him happy seeing her support his endeavors.
